Applied Comfort RS PTAC
Applied Comfort

How the RS Began
The original S/ES/RS units were developed in the late 70’s. The RS was the first package terminal heat pump. Other versions included the “S”, used with hydronic heat, and the “ES” which used electric strip heat. These units were designed as upgrades to the popular EA PTAC. The RS is the most common configuration, and was popular at the time because of it’s lower energy costs. Originally made under the Remington name, it was also manufactured under the names Singer and McQuay. McQuay was purchased by Daikin, and changed to Daikin Applied. In 2014, Daikin Applied stopped the manufacture of all PTAC units.
A New Beginning
Applied Comfort Products began producing their own version of the RS, with up to date top quality components, higher efficiencies, and quieter operation. The Applied Comfort RS is a reliable replacement for the original Remington/Singer/McQuay RS/ES/MQT units. It features easy installation, durable design, electronic controls, and overall higher performance.
